“Steak” Tacos
Mushrooms really take on a great meaty texture that is perfect for this taco.
Ingredients:
· 1 (8 oz) package of mushrooms (cremini or portobello is recommended)
· ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce (#VeganOfCourse)
· Juice from 1 lime
· 1 tbsp of oil
· 1 tbsp minced garlic
· 1 onion (chopped)
· 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
· 6 corn tortillas
· Season to Taste: smoke paprika, old bay, steak seasoning
· Toppings: Pico de Gallo, avocado slices, lime juice, crispy jalapenos
Instructions:
1. Marinate Mushrooms: place mushrooms in a bowl. Add Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and seasonings. Mix well and marinate in the fringe for at least 20 minutes.
2. Add oil to a heated skillet
3. Add garlic, onions, and peppers. Cook until fragrant.
4. Add mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes.
5. Warm your tortillas.
6. Build Your Tacos: tortilla, mushrooms, Pico de Gallo, avocado, lime juice, crispy jalapenos
7. Enjoy!
